D*Face, a.k.a the world-renowned urban artist Dean Stockton, presents New World Disorder. Stockton has been at the forefront of popular culture not only as an acclaimed wall painter and artist, but also as a respected, internationally-recognised gallerist at StolenSpace. TRUMAN HUB
| Featured TENANT | Absolute Vintage

As one of the vintage shops pioneers! Can you tell us about when and how you opened your shop with us? What inspired you to? We started trading at the Brewery Sunday Market ,the days when it consisted of a handful of stall holders, we all fitted in along Dray walk, in cold weather we set up our stall inside what is now the big chill bar, before it was just an empty shell! The place was less commercial with a few vintage and independent shops and of course the curry restaurants. We could see the potential in the area and thought we'd do something more permanent. Don't get me wrong the market is a wonderful environment but being outside and battling with the British weather can be wearing so being undercover was a dream, albeit still freezing cold as we occupy a disused pallet warehouse at least it's dry!
What changed since the most? There's been much development in the area, with new shops and restaurants. The area has now become a Tourist destination to rival Portobello. The events in the Brewery and their dedication to the Arts has helped attract people to the area.
What do you miss? Can't really say we miss anything, we are enjoying every moment.
What do you hope never comes back?
Jack the Ripper.
What’s your favourite thing about the area? I don't think everyone is fully aware of just what this area has to offer, there's always something happening, so much sometimes and if you don't keep up you can miss a lot!
What can we expect to see more of this summer from absolute?
We've just received basketball jersey tops and woven leather flat sandals - just in time for the change in weather! We have also just changed our website and our online shop is more up to date and will allow us to have sales online.
