A MOST CURIOUS WEDDING FAIR //
F BLOCK // FRI 06 - SUN 08 MARCH //

Trail blazers of the wedding world, Most Curious carefully handpicks its merry gang of exhibitors who range from the very coolest of the established brands to up and coming makers working from their bedrooms, kitchens, studios and raw imaginations. Creative couples will be in for an explosion of inspiration with refreshments and exciting fashion shows provided throughout the day.

 

ELITE BUSINESS EVENT //

Since the late 1990s, the Old Truman Brewery has been home to many new innovative businesses and start-ups; so naturally, we are proud and excited to be hosting The Elite Business National Conference & Exhibition again this year. The event delivers professional speakers and industry experts who address the barriers to growth and review growth strategies, access to finance, technology and sustainability. This year's speakers include Mat Brady (Founder of Just Eat), Levi Roots (Celebrity Chef), Kanya King (Founder & CEO of the MOBO Awards) plus many more.

 

NO-ONE HOME //
SHOP 8 // MON 16 - SUN 22 MARCH //

The British Red Cross together with Syrian artist, Ibrahim Fakhri, have created an art installation to commemorate 4 years since the start of the Syrian conflict. The installation 'No-one home' features 1461 milk bottles, one for every day since the start of the Syrian conflict. Another milk bottle will be added every day of the exhibition as the crisis continues into its fifth year. To make a donation to the Syria Crisis Appeal, please text SYRIA to 70600 to give £3.

 

ART OF THE BRICK - NEW ROOM //
LOADING BAY GALLERY // UNTIL SUN 12 APRIL //

Having recently revealed they are extending their residency to April, The Art of the Brick has introduced a brand new room to their famous LEGO exhibition. The new room named' In Pieces' is a multimedia collaboration between the creator, Nathan Sawaya, and Australian photographer Dean West which features scenes of Americana with an added curious twist as each photo features one or more LEGO sculptures hidden in plain sight.

 

WAKING UP - S. PSARROS //
SHOP 12 // WED 11 - MON 16 MARCH //

The stitching's Psarros creates are made up of words from letters/texts/poems/etc. which she sews onto stretched plastic, like a canvas, sometimes displaying the back as the front, which presents the stitching as a coded language. Psarros' personal forever-changing alphabet uses mixed media materials, some of which include leather cords, waxed cords, and threads, sewn onto opaque or transparent plastics.

SUNDAY UPMARKET // EVERY SUNDAY 10AM - 5PM

They're the new squids on the block bringing Spanish delights such as calamari, patatas bravas, baguettes and squid cones to the Sunday Upmarket! If you're feeling brave they also offer a 'Squid Vicious' sauce which is said to be anarchy in the mouth!

Asics celebrated the European leg of their rebranding campaign by transforming our Boiler House into Japan's Shibuya Arcade. Guests were treated to katsu curries and Asahi beer from Japanika, as the new Gel-Lyte III trainer was introduced by its designer, Matsui-San, who gave an inspiring talk as well as the UK CEO's.
 
 

TRUMAN SPOTLIGHT // CABOOSE: BEST PLACE TO EAT IN LONDON //

Ely's Yard food vendor, Caboose has beaten Michelin star restaurants to the title of Best Restaurant in London on TripAdvisor having gained top marks for food, service and atmosphere. They're daytime offerings of pulled pork burgers are well loved around these parts but it's little known that they also offer an evening service where you and a group of friends can dine inside the old train carriage creating a truly unique experience.
 
 

TRUMAN HIGHLIGHT //
MEGGS MURAL BUXTON STREET //


Street and fine artist David 'MEGGS' Hooke spruced up Buxton Street gate this month to coincide with his 'Rise and Fall' exhibition. Meggs' murals can be found all over the world and we're pleased to have one of our own here at the Truman Brewery. You can catch his exhibition at Stolen Space gallery until the 8th of March.
 
 

CELEBRITY SPOT // KODALINE 106 COMMERCIAL STREET //

Kodaline performed a secret acoustic gig hosted by Transmitter TV at #TrumanMarket 106 Commercial Street this month, debuting their new track, 'The One'. The old stables warehouse made the perfect backdrop for their busking performance; watch the exclusive footage and an interview with the band here.
