3 Years ago, some friends of ours got together and started a regular running session on a little track over in West London….
What was born of a couple friends who met running with Run Dem Crew with some help from international friends, Track Mafia was brought to our yard last week by coach Cory Walton-Malcolm & Teammates for a night of running hype.
With support from @NikeLondon & #NRC, it was an epic night, 200 runners racing on a blue carpet track against each other and the clock through a warehouse and car park to a soundtrack laid down by DJ Mr Trouble and food by Henry’s Burgers.
This kicked off what was an incredible 4 days of training here onsite… Nike also set up their #Unlimited London immersive high-intensity workout experience, featuring Barry’s Bootcamp, KoBox and Nike’s own master trainers which featured an incredible lighting installation designed by Artisan (the team behind United Visual Artists) and a bespoke soundtrack composed by Hot Chip duo Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard, performed by a live orchestra!
It was a truly mind blowing experience and we are lucky we have so many great places to eat and refuel here after all that.

London Design Fair

The huge once annual London Design Fair will be returning to the Old Truman Brewery this September. Ten years in the making, 2016 marks the launch of London Design Fair, the new umbrella brand that will include both Tent London & Super Brands London, alongside a growing host of international trade showcases.
As an exhibition, it has become adept at championing new designers, attracting global brands and showcasing country pavilions.
Thousands of new furniture, lighting, interiors products and ideas will be launched over the 4-day event, 22–25th September 2016. London Design Fair is the show for original thinkers and early adopters looking to discover the best in contemporary design.

Truman Markets have recently opened their doors to Rinse, the newest addition to our other eight markets. Rinse is our dedicated fashion hub for ethical and independent fashion brands. You can find creative womanswear brand alex(a)lexa from Jakarta, funky socks by Quiet Rebellion and even something a little more risqué from Nearer the Moon. All the traders make unique items, often time ethically sourced too. Discover the vibrant colours and original designs from Serendipity London, or amazing draped jackets from Aidan Sheehan. If you can’t find something for you, our Czech friends Chimnees are serving up ice-cream and other tasty treats in sugary doughy cones to help you keep the good vibes going.

PHOTOBLOCK

London Photographic will be bringing us landscape, portrait, travel, abstract, street, low light and more genres at their exhibition opening this Friday. Then coming up this autumn PHOTOBLOCK is back with an exciting programme of photo exhibitions, including the AOP awards, the RPS International Print Prize and the PHOTOMASTERS exhibition. PHOTOBLOCK is a special project that curates a distinctive programme of photography events, creating a wider experience and engagement for all things photographic.
Applications are still open until the 31st of August to take part in the PHOTOMASTERS exhibition, so if you are an MA Photography Graduate or Student make sure you apply now!
The British Journal of Photography, Shutter Hub and Metro Imaging have partnered with this year’s PHOTOMASTERS exhibition offering their support and expertise.

Fat Buddha, Happy Buddha
Fat Buddha Yoga is a modern approach to the ancient art and science of yoga for the next generation of urban yogis founded by DJ, yoga junkie and Nike yoga trainer Jessica Skye. Held on our Rooftop or in Brick House every Tuesday 7pm, the FBY mission is to clear the mystique around yoga by providing an accessible and fun approach for all levels ranging from yoga virgins, rookies to pros. Always welcoming good vibes and open minds, FBY never takes yoga (or life) too seriously. The classes teach yoga as a tool to look after your mind and your body whilst keeping the balance in modern urban life. The sessions will always focus on a deep and dynamic practice, balanced with finding some inner calm to leave you feeling stronger, more supple with a heap load of zen.
