Record Store Day 2013 launched at Rough Trade this month with Tom Odell, Ghost Poet & Benga!
The day itself was created to help us celebrate our fabulous independent record stores! Over 200 independent record stores over the UK & Ireland are taking part this year – Expect big announcements to be made over April on gigs and events taking place at Rough Trade– keep your eyes posted on Truman’s Facebook page for all important updates!

The London Coffee Festival celebrates London's coffee culture, with gourmet coffee and food, demonstrations from world-class baristas, live music and lectures that will educate even the most knowledgeable of coffee lovers! Taking place in F Block, the festival is separated into different zones - Hyde Park is the main hub, providing an area where visitors can listen to acoustic music from the Band Stand. David Shillinglaw London based contemporary artist David Shillinglaw graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2002, since then he has exhibited his work in Japan, Germany, the US and UK. His work moves between the street and the studio – Always pushing his own boundaries his newest exhibition at StolenSpace is exploring new themes and is certainly a show not to be missed! |

Housed in our Directors Block on Brick Lane Altitude is a music agency, representing hand picked award winning composers and a catalogue of high quality production music. We put music to picture: documentaries, commercials, film trailers, corporate films...you name it. We work from a studio meaning that we're always on hand for edits, and you can hire out our studio for VO's and sound design too.
When did you move in to Truman?
Altitude were brought into the world here, at the Truman Brewery in Spring 2010.
What's your favorite thing about the site?
Big windows, and our daily Monmouth coffee from Rough Trade.
What's the most exciting project you've worked on/why?
A recent project we're really excited about is to be working with world class composers and hearing our music on blockbuster trailers like Dreamworks' Rise of the Guardians. It's completely new territory for us and it's great to be trying something new. On a more local level, we're really pleased to be collaborating with Truman-based agencies like LBi and Wieden&Kennedy. It's great to be part of such a creative community with some of the best talent in the business, on your doorstep! |

| Kirsty Pargeter of Sample Hunters is one of our regular weekend PopUp Shops clients. Joined in 2010, they now hold up to 8 annual fashion events on site. Favorite venue is Shop 14 and she loves ”the fact you can eat a great meal, shop and have a drink”! |
